About

Our Beginning: A Vision for Change

Established on 1st May 1995, Umar Bin Khattab Welfare Trust was founded to address the pressing challenges faced by the Muslim community in India—particularly in the areas of education, economy, and faith. In Kunjkheda, a remote and underserved region in Marathwada, Maharashtra, the situation was especially dire. At the request of local social and Islamic activists, Maulana Gulam Mohammad Vastanvi laid the foundation for the Trust with a mission to provide holistic Islamic education and modern academic opportunities to uplift the community.

Educational activities officially commenced on 10th April 1997, marking the beginning of a journey that continues to transform lives.

Progress

From Roots to Growth

To realize this vision, the Trust acquired 22 acres of land, 3 kilometers from Kunjkheda, to establish a state-of-the-art educational campus. What began as a small initiative has now blossomed into a thriving hub for learning, featuring:

From Humble Beginnings to a Thriving Campus

Deeni Education: Facilities for Hifz-e-Quran, Aalimiyat, Deeniyat, and Madrasatul Banat (girls’ madrasa).

Modern Education: Institutions offering professional courses such as Pharmacy, Medical, and Teaching.

Infrastructure: A masjid, library, boys’ and girls’ hostels, dining hall, residential quarters for staff, and well-equipped kitchens.

A Legacy of Impact

With Allah’s grace and the collective efforts of staff, donors, and well-wishers, Umar Bin Khattab Welfare Trust continues to thrive. From its roots as a small educational plant, it has grown into a magnificent garden of art, education, and faith—serving as a pillar of hope for the underprivileged and a source of pride for the entire community.
